The best place where you can see how Maracaibo used to look like in the past is the Calle Carabobo. It looks like a typical colonial Maracaibo street. There are many shops along this street that sell mostly regional crafts (enter at La Salita). To get there, from the Paseo de las Ciencias go 1 block north.
